Check your flight before you leave
Winter storms can delay or cancel flights well before you reach the airport. Turn on your airline's app notifications and check your flight status the night before and again before you leave. If your flight is delayed, you may be able to rebook in the app before the lines form at the ticket counter.
Leave earlier than you think you need to

Know your terminal
MSP has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, in separate buildings on different sides of the airfield. Confirm which terminal your airline uses before you leave so you're dropped off at the right one, especially if you're flying a different airline than usual.
